Jeoprady Rules for SRKT sports day event

1. Up to 8 teams can participate in each round. Each team will consist of 2 members.

2. Each team will be provided with an electronic hand-held buzzer. Either member of the team can take responsibility for holding the buzzer and activating it.

3. There are 5 or 6 categories for your round. Each category has 5 questions of incremetal difficulty, ranging in points value from 100 to 500. It will be clearly explained to the contestants exactly what type of answer is required.

4. First team to buzz in after the question is shown will be given up to 10 seconds to answer the question. If the correct answer is provided by the buzzing team, they will add the corresponding points to their score. 5. The host will be the sole person deciding whether the contestant's answer is correct or incorrect. There will be no arguing whatsoever. The questions and answers have been carefully researched to remove ambiguity and to ensure only one correct answer per question. Only reliable sources have been used to formulate the quetsions and a detailed reference can be provided at the end to contestants that so desire.

6. The team that answered the last correct answer will be allowed to pick the next category and point value for the next question. Unlike the TV show "Jeopardy," you do not need to answer in the form of a question.

7. Depending on total number of participants, 2-4 teams with the highest points total after the entire board is cleared will advanced to the final round.

8. The final round has the same rules as above. The team with the highest points after the entire final round board is cleared will be declared the winning team. Points DO NOT carry over from the first round to the final round. Everyone starts at zero in the final round.

9. Good luck!!
